For cleanliness and upkeep purposes we have a " no pet policy." Someone else’s dog and cat hair is not something to be shared with strangers.

That being said we have some guests who have returned to Black Lake for years and we have gotten to know them quite well. For some of them we have made a special accommodation for a well trained pet – for instance we have allowed dogs, provided the dog is kept in the tiled laundry room area with a child’s gate across the entrance into the main cottage. The cottage is fully carpeted and some people like their dogs by their side and in their bedrooms etc, we can’t provide that type of environment. People who are allowed to bring their dog pay an extra cleaning fee so the next guests don’t know a pet was in the cottage.
